Reach Technologies was incorporated in 1993 as a spin-off of MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (MDA) and Agilent. Reach’s first product was a PCM Telemetry recorder used for telemetry acquisition in satellite ground stations and flight test. Over the first few years of its existence Reach cemented its position as a leader in Aerospace telemetry acquisition and expanded its product line with the addition of test equipment designed especially for telemetry applications.
Further product expansion came with the addition of Instrumentation recorders, originally designed for acquisition of sonobuoy telemetry during submarine test and exercises. Reach Instrumentation recorders are now used in shipbuilding, transportation and many other applications. A family of Time Code Processors was also developed for use in flight test, which are now sold by Brandywine Communications.
The next step in Reach's evolution involved the leveraging of its acquisition technology to create a line of data loggers and sensors, providing its customers with customized data acquisition and monitoring solutions
From power monitoring on large industrial generator sets to automotive to heavy equipment and many others, anywhere there are moving parts you will find Reach Technologies equipment monitoring usage, performance and wear for predictive maintenance, warranty oversight and regulatory compliance.
