Network Telemetry Link Detailed Description

The NTL in input mode accepts telemetry data, formats it for network transmission and transmits it to a NTL operating in output mode.

The NTL in output mode reconstructs the original data and passes it to the external system, where the data appears as though it was received locally. Using a combination of queue management and output rate adjustment, the NTL accounts for input rate variations and nominal WAN delay jitter to ensure that a contiguous output stream is produced.

The physical characteristics of the output data stream may be configured to be identical to the input stream, or may be altered. The electrical levels, encoding, clock polarity, and data polarity may all be changed. Built-in diagnostic capabilities including PN sequence generation, multi-level loop back, and Bit Error Rate (BER) monitoring.
